How to Generate UAN for EPF?
When a person starts their first job, the employer creates a UAN (Universal Account Number) for them if the company has 20 or more employees. If the employee already has a UAN from a previous job, they should give those details to the new employer.
To create a new UAN, the employer follows these simple steps:
- Log in to the EPF Employer Portal using their username and password
- Go to the "Member" section and click on "Register Individual".
- Enter the employee's details like PAN, Aadhaar, and bank information
- Check and approve the details in the "Approval" section
After this, EPFO generates a new UAN, and the employer links the employee's PF account with that UAN.
How to Find Your UAN?
Your UAN (Universal Account Number) is usually given by your employer after your EPF account is created and linked. But if you don’t have it, you can easily find it yourself.
