Documents Needed for Royal Sundaram Car Insurance Claim Settlement
You need to give the following documents when you file a claim:- Your car insurance policy papers
- A filled and signed claim form
- A copy of your PAN card (only if the claim amount is more than Rs. 1 lakh)
- A self-attested copy of your car’s RC (Registration Certificate)
- A self-attested copy of the driving licence of the person who was driving during the accident
- An FIR, if there was a serious injury, death, or if the car was stolen
- A signed Satisfaction Voucher (SV) or Discharge Voucher (DV)

Follow these simple steps to get a cashless claim after your car meets with an accident or gets damaged:

Inform the Insurance Company
Tell Royal Sundaram about the accident or damage as soon as possible. You can inform them by:Calling 1800 568 9999, orSending an SMS “MOTORCLAIM” to 567675, orUsing the Royal Sundaram m-Chatra mobile app.

File an FIR (If Needed)
If someone is seriously hurt, dies, or if a third party is involved, file an FIR at the nearest police station. Keep a copy of the FIR for the claim process.

Tow Your Car
Ask Royal Sundaram to arrange a towing service to take your car to the nearest cashless garage. (You may have to pay towing charges based on distance.) You can also arrange your own towing if you prefer.

Survey and Documents
A surveyor from the insurance company will check your car’s damage and help complete the paperwork.

Repair and Claim Settlement
Your car will be repaired at the cashless garage. Royal Sundaram will pay the garage directly, after deducting depreciation and deductibles (unless you have Zero Depreciation cover).
How To Make a Royal Sundaram Reimbursement Car Insurance Claim?
If you cannot find a cashless garage nearby, follow these steps for a reimbursement claim:Step 1. Inform Royal Sundaram
Call 1800 568 9999 or send an SMS “MOTORCLAIM” to 567675. Keep your policy number, contact details, and accident details ready.
Step 2. Medical Help + FIR
Get medical help immediately if anyone is hurt. File an FIR if the car was stolen or if there were serious injuries or death.
Step 3. Get Repair Estimate
Get a repair cost estimate from the garage and give it to the insurance company. A surveyor will also check your car and confirm the damage.
Step 4. Repair and Pay
Repair your car at any garage of your choice. Pay the repair bill yourself. Submit all original bills and required documents to Royal Sundaram.
Step 5. Get Reimbursement
After checking everything, Royal Sundaram will send you the claim amount. If the claim is more than Rs. 1 lakh, you must also submit a copy of your PAN card and a recent passport-size photo.
