What Is Covered and Not Covered in Royal Sundaram Zero Depreciation Add-On Cover?

What it Covers

  • Parts coverage

Pays for damage to parts like nylon, rubber, plastic, and fiberglass.

  • Repair/Replacement costs

Fully pays for repairing or replacing damaged parts.

  • Battery and tyres

Partial damage to the battery and tyres is also covered without reducing the claim for depreciation.

  • Policy upgrade

You can add this cover when buying a new policy or renewing your old policy.

What Does it not Cover

  • Mechanical issues

Damage caused by mechanical or electrical problems is not covered.

  • Wear and tear

Normal aging or wear and tear of the bike is not covered.

  • Total loss

Complete damage or total loss of the bike is not covered under this add-on.

  • Uninsured items

Items like tyres, gas kits, or CNG kits are not covered if they are not included in your policy.

Factors that Affect Royal Sundaram Zero Depreciation Cover

The Royal Sundaram Zero Depreciation cover is very useful, but you should remember these points:
  • Wear and tear is not covered

This insurance does not cover the normal wear and tear of your bike. Things like old tyres, brakes, or engine parts naturally getting old are not included.

  • Not for total loss

If your bike is completely damaged or stolen and cannot be repaired, this cover will not apply. The Zero Depreciation add-on only works for partial damage to your bike parts.

  • Bike age limit

Only bikes that are up to 2 years old can get this cover. Older bikes cannot use the Zero Depreciation benefit, so it is best for new bikes.

  • Claim limit

You can use the Zero Depreciation benefit only twice during the whole policy period. After two claims, any further repair or replacement will not be fully covered for depreciation.
